About The Position

JELD-WEN is hiring a Skilled Production team member for the Repair/Returns Department of American Building Supply (ABS), a JELD-WEN subsidiary and wholesale supplier of doors, door hardware, windows, and millwork. The position supports the Distribution division by inspecting and repairing damaged or returned door and millwork products, coordinating repair work with other departments, and ensuring finished products meet specifications. Work assignments may vary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged and returned door and millwork products to determine appropriate handling.
• Repair damaged and returned products using processes such as cutting, sanding, routing, applying bondo, beveling, boring, chiseling, drilling, de-burring, gluing, and clamping.
• Operate woodworking machinery, including chop saws, handheld routers, sanders, and shapers.
• Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used in the work.
• Ensure returned and damaged products are properly categorized.
• Coordinate repair work with multiple departments.
• Inspect finished products to ensure repairs meet proper specifications.
• Dispose of unusable material properly.
• Maintain company standards for cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping.
• Follow safe work practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
