About The Position

JELD-WEN is hiring for a Skilled Production role. The position involves preparing and handling materials, operating conventional woodworking and manufacturing machines, and working on a CNC/Komo machine; training is provided for the CNC/Komo machine. The successful candidate may also perform general warehouse duties. The role is on the 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift and reports to the Production Supervisor. Overtime may be required to meet customer demands. JELD-WEN is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of interior and exterior doors, windows, and related building products. Requirements

Commercial machine operator experience.
Past experience in commercial woodworking, such as doors, millwork, or cabinets.
Past experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
General knowledge of building materials.
Ability to perform simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating a CNC/Komo machine is preferred; training is provided.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Accurately read work-order picks and use measuring tools.
Operate conventional machines, including table saws, mills, surface grinders, and drill sharpeners.
Work on the CNC/Komo machine; training is provided.
Perform mathematical calculations and read and understand technical drawings.
Conduct a preventative maintenance inspection at the start of the shift.
Prepare and handle materials.
Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands.
Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
