About The Position

Worthington Enterprises is hiring Skilled Production Associates at its Columbus facility, which manufactures Balloon Time helium cylinders, refrigerant cylinders, and foam and adhesive cylinders. Production Associates help safely produce quality parts on a fast-paced assembly line while providing high-quality service and working effectively and efficiently. The role is available on day or night shift, with 12-hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. The schedule includes every other weekend off, approximately 13 workdays per month, and eight scheduled overtime hours.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience is required.
• Ability to handle physical, repetitive work and stand for several hours.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Competence in basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to handle small parts.
• Ability to recognize quality issues and problems and detect defects.
• Ability to read and follow detailed production instructions.
• Ability to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
• Ability to count and label parts accurately.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures, with good safety awareness and efficiency skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English. Basic English proficiency is required to read safety instructions, understand work orders, and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Eagerness to learn and grow, and reliability in arriving to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely manufacture quality parts on a fast-paced assembly line.
• Perform assembly, testing, problem-solving, and material handling.
• Perform welding, paint line operation, and press room operation.
• Conduct quality control and identify defects.

• Competitive pay of $22–$25 per hour depending on experience, plus a $1.50 per hour night-shift differential.
• Overtime pay at time-and-a-half for hours over 40 per week and double-time for hours over 48 per week; eight hours of overtime are built into the schedule.
