About The Position

Hills Machinery is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain construction and heavy equipment in shop and field environments. The role supports customer uptime through quality repairs, strong diagnostics, and responsive service. Technicians work on hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, engine, and mechanical systems, and maintain service documentation, tools, equipment, and service vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and recondition heavy equipment and related components.
• Perform repairs on hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, engine, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect equipment and identify repair solutions efficiently and safely.
• Complete assigned repairs with quality and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, parts usage, and repair records.
• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Properly maintain shop tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
• Support customers by helping ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
