About The Position

Pape’ Rents is seeking a Rental Field Technician to work on material handling and construction equipment in the field. The technician ensures repairs are completed accurately and on time to maximize equipment uptime and support customers’ rental equipment needs. The role involves traveling in a fully equipped Pape’ service vehicle, repairing equipment, and interacting with customers.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing aerial or construction equipment in the field.
• Knowledge of JLG, Genie, Skyjack, and John Deere equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with electronic and hydraulic repairs, as well as diesel and gas engine repair.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 75 pounds.
• A driver's license and a good driving record.
• Comfort working at heights.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair material handling and construction equipment in the field.

• Support customers and their rental equipment needs.
