About The Position

WM is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator II to operate heavy equipment at its landfill in Corona, California. The role involves operating equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders in support of waste and recycling operations. Operators follow established safety and equipment procedures, inspect and maintain equipment, and move raw materials and finished components. The position is described as having stable hours and a focus on employee safety, well-being, and career development. The normal work setting is a shop or field, with the position identified as on-site. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, 3:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The expected base pay is $33.50 per hour. Requirements

At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Be over 18 years of age.
Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
