About The Position

WM is hiring an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work at its waste disposal site in Erie, Pennsylvania. The operator will use heavy equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders, to support the company's waste management and recycling operations. The position involves working in a safety-focused environment with established operating procedures and equipment maintenance requirements.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some weekends. The normal work setting is a shop or field at a waste disposal site. Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Work independently and take accountability for following safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively and support colleagues.
• Be able to problem-solve independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
• Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
