About The Position

WM is hiring an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work at its waste disposal site in Elgin, South Carolina. The position involves operating heavy equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders, in support of waste disposal operations. Operators work under strict safety procedures and are expected to follow company policies and standard operating procedures while maintaining equipment and records. Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Ability to work independently and take accountability for following safety guidelines.
• Good communication skills and readiness to support colleagues.
• Ability to problem-solve independently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with dozers, excavators, compactors, or dump trucks.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
• Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
