HealthMarket Clerk
About The Position
The HealthMarket Clerk helps keep products fresh, the department clean and well-stocked, and customers welcomed and cared for. The role involves customer service, assisting customers with product location and purchases, sharing product suggestions, and answering questions. For homeopathic and natural wellness products, the clerk may help customers locate and access products but must not provide medical instruction or advice on product use. The clerk monitors product freshness and appearance, replenishes and rotates products, anticipates daily product needs, follows or develops production lists, checks in products, puts products away, and reviews invoices as needed. The role also includes sanitation and cleaning duties, maintaining an organized work area, removing trash, supporting teammates, complying with company standards and policies, and assisting in other store areas or special projects as needed. Training and support are provided; prior experience is not required.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
- Ability to communicate clearly and helpfully with customers and teammates.
- Ability to stay organized and keep pace in a busy department.
- Less than a high school diploma or equivalent experience is accepted.
Nice To Haves
- Up to six months of similar or related work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout the store.
- Help customers find products, reach items, carry heavy purchases, and relay feedback or requests to the team.
- Offer product suggestions and answer customer questions.
- Help customers locate and access homeopathic and natural wellness products without providing medical instruction or advice on product use.
- Monitor product freshness and appearance, and replenish and rotate products as needed.
- Anticipate daily product needs and follow or develop a production list.
- Check in products, put products away, and review invoices as needed.
- Follow sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department.
- Work with teammates to provide a smooth, positive customer experience.
- Comply with the dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
