HealthMarket Clerk
About The Position
The HealthMarket Clerk helps maintain a fresh, clean, and well-stocked department while providing welcoming customer service. The role includes assisting customers with products and purchases, sharing product suggestions and answering questions, and helping customers locate homeopathic and natural wellness products without providing medical instruction or advice. Clerks monitor freshness and appearance, replenish and rotate products, anticipate product needs, check in products, put them away, and review invoices as needed. They follow sanitation procedures, keep the work area organized, remove trash, work collaboratively with teammates, and may assist elsewhere in the store or with special projects. Training and support are provided; prior experience is not required.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
- Clear, friendly communication with customers and teammates.
- Ability to stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy department.
- Less than a high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
Nice To Haves
- Up to six months of similar or related work experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout the store.
- Help customers find products, reach items, carry heavy purchases, and relay feedback or requests to the team.
- Offer product suggestions and answer customer questions.
- Help customers locate and access homeopathic and natural wellness products without providing medical instruction or advice on product use.
- Monitor product freshness and appearance, and replenish and rotate products as needed.
- Anticipate daily product needs and follow or develop a production list.
- Check in products, put them away, and review invoices as needed.
- Follow sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department.
- Work with teammates to ensure a smooth, positive customer experience.
- Comply with the dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
