About The Position

Provides clinical services to patients, such as immunizations or medication therapy management (MTM) interventions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. The pharmacist engages patients, answers questions, resolves issues, and promotes Walgreens healthcare services, including consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services. The role also supports safe prescription filling under Good Faith Dispensing policy and applicable controlled substance laws, and maintains current pharmacy knowledge, credentials, and required training.

Requirements

• BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, offer assistance with products and services, answer questions, and resolve patient issues in a timely manner.
• Model and share patient-service best practices with team members to provide a positive, caring, and inclusive patient experience.
• Anticipate patient needs and proactively connect patients with available healthcare services.
• Promote awareness and use of Walgreens healthcare services, including consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services.
• Provide clinical services such as immunizations and MTM interventions in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
• Apply all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy alongside state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintain current knowledge, licenses, credentials, and certifications required to provide clinical services.
• Keep pharmacy and healthcare knowledge and skills current through professional publications, company communications, and awareness of industry developments and best practices.
• Complete required certifications, education credits, training, and company learning modules.
