About The Position

Provides clinical services to patients, including immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM) interventions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. The role supports a positive patient experience by providing assistance, answering questions, resolving issues, anticipating patient needs, and promoting Walgreens healthcare services. It also ensures Good Faith Dispensing practices are followed when filling prescriptions and maintains current pharmacy knowledge, licensing, credentials, and certifications.

Requirements

• BS in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients, offer assistance with products and services, answer questions, and resolve patient issues in a timely manner.
• Model and share patient-service best practices, including courteous and empathetic interactions and Walgreens service traits.
• Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer services.
• Promote awareness of Walgreens healthcare services, including consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services.
• Provide clinical services such as immunizations and MTM interventions in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure use of all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy in conjunction with state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintain current knowledge and required licensing, credentialing, and certification to provide clinical services.
• Keep pharmacy and healthcare knowledge and skills current by reading pharmacy-related journals, company publications, and communications.
• Maintain awareness of retail and management developments and pursue practices that enhance performance.
• Obtain required certifications, education credits, and training, including learning modules.
