About The Position

Provides clinical services to patients, including immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM) interventions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. The pharmacist supports a positive patient experience, promotes awareness of Walgreens healthcare services, and applies applicable dispensing policies and controlled-substance laws. The role also requires maintaining current pharmacy knowledge, credentials, and required training.

Requirements

• BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, offer assistance with products and services, resolve patient issues promptly, and answer questions.
• Model and share patient-service best practices with team members, including courteous, empathetic, and inclusive interactions.
• Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer services; increase awareness of Walgreens healthcare services, including consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient-outcomes services.
• Provide clinical services such as immunizations and MTM interventions in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
• Apply all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy alongside applicable state and federal controlled-substance laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintain current knowledge and required licensing, credentialing, and certification for providing clinical services.
• Keep pharmacy and healthcare knowledge and skills current through relevant journals, company publications, and communications; stay aware of retail and management developments and pursue practices that enhance performance.
• Obtain required certifications, education credits, and company training, including learning modules.
