About The Position

Provides clinical services to patients, such as immunizations and medication therapy management (MTM) interventions, in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. The role focuses on creating a positive patient experience, promoting awareness of Walgreens healthcare services, and applying Good Faith Dispensing practices when filling prescriptions. The pharmacist maintains required licensing and credentials and keeps pharmacy and healthcare knowledge current through ongoing learning and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues promptly, and answering questions.
• Model and share patient-service best practices with team members, including behaviors that demonstrate care, courtesy, empathy, and inclusivity.
• Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer services, increasing awareness of Walgreens healthcare services such as consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services.
• Provide clinical services, including immunizations and MTM interventions, in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures.
• Apply all elements of the Good Faith Dispensing policy alongside state and federal controlled-substance laws when filling prescriptions.
• Maintain current knowledge and required licensing, credentialing, and certifications to provide clinical services.
• Keep pharmacy and healthcare knowledge and skills current by reviewing relevant journals, company publications, and communications; remain aware of retail and management developments and pursue relevant best practices.
• Obtain required certifications, continuing education credits, and company training, including learning modules.
