About The Position

Blackstone Consulting, Inc. seeks a dedicated Healthcare Security Supervisor to serve as part of the security and care delivery team for a leading healthcare provider. The role supervises security shifts, provides relief to the Security Account Manager during off-hours or limited absences, and conducts roving patrols and incident supervision in complex healthcare facilities. The position is based in Walnut Creek and lists a pay rate of $32.19. The stated schedule is Friday–Sunday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; Tuesday–Wednesday, 11:00 p.m.–midnight; and Wednesday–Thursday, midnight–7:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise officers at assigned locations.
Assist with Security Officer training and review post orders.
Work with company management or designated representatives to ensure adequate security coverage at all posts.
Respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations, including defusing physical situations in the Emergency Department.
Conduct periodic tours of secure areas.
Maintain knowledge of the Emergency Department, waiting room, and their operations.
Check for irregularities, suspicious activities, and suspicious persons.
Preserve order and, when appropriate, enforce regulations pertaining to personnel and visitors.
Protect staff and property from theft or damage, and protect people from hazards or interference, including potential workplace violence.
Control access to the client facility through the admittance process; monitor entrances and exits and prevent unapproved or unlawful entry.
Troubleshoot cameras, replace devices, and configure equipment.
Understand and respond to the intrusion detection system.
Maintain good public relations when interacting with visitors and staff, and provide visitors with information about the facility and surrounding areas as requested.
Prepare required post logs and reports, including detailed narrative reports.
Perform roving patrols and supervise incidents in complex facilities; provide shift supervision and relief to the Security Account Manager during off-hours or limited absences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
