About The Position

Performs a variety of specialized technical and confidential human resources duties for the Compensation department. Responsible for the processing of employee data through HRIS and maintains accuracy through regular audits. Performs technical review of employee records and processes employee transactions. Assists with the planning, administration, and implementation of all aspects of compensation including job descriptions, credential evaluation, performance appraisals, wage and salary management, and incentive programs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school in Business or a related field; or two (2) years (60 credit hours) coursework from a 4-year college or university; or three (3) years of experience working in human resources; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year of related experience required.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies and practices.
  • Understanding of employee classification and compensation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
