About The Position
Brookdale Cary is hiring a Health and Wellness Coordinator for a senior living community supporting residents through Memory Care. The role manages day-to-day healthcare operations and helps ensure residents receive respectful, consistent, quality care as their healthcare needs change. It includes supporting and training care staff, managing associate schedules, and overseeing medication training and processes. The coordinator may need to take on Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide responsibilities to meet resident needs and staffing requirements, and shares on-call duties as required. Requirements
- Education required to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN).
- A minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- LPN or LVN license.
Responsibilities
- Manage the community’s day-to-day healthcare operations to ensure residents’ healthcare needs are met.
- Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and receive quality care as their healthcare needs change.
- Maintain consistent quality resident care and service delivery across all shifts; assume Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide duties when needed to meet resident needs and staffing requirements.
- Assist in supervising licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers.
- Provide ongoing training and education to Caregivers, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training.
- Manage associate schedules.
- Oversee medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision and/or administration in the community.
- Conduct periodic Care Associate medication skills inventory checks and medication audits according to Brookdale Guidelines.
- Share on-call duties as required.
