About The Position

Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is hiring a Head Teller at its Huntington Branch in Long Island. The Head Teller provides guidance, supervision, and support to new and existing tellers within the branch. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Cash-handling experience required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of compliance and record-keeping requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail banking experience preferred.
• Advanced experience with PC, network, e-mail, Director, internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and transaction research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, and cashier’s checks.
• Order and ship cash, provide cash to the branch, and receive vault money for the branch and ATM.
• Perform administrative and supervisory duties as designated, such as handling over-and-short general ledger accounts and cash items.
• Ensure the teller line operates efficiently and that tellers follow bank policies and procedures regarding money handling, cash levels, transaction processing, and controls.
• Support branch business development goals by referring customers to platform staff.
• Coach and mentor tellers in making platform referrals.
• Schedule teller staff depending on the needs of the branch.
