About The Position

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a customer-focused and engaging Head Teller for its Wailuku branch. The Head Teller provides exceptional customer service, supports smooth daily branch operations, promotes the bank’s financial products and services, and assists with supervising and developing Branch Tellers. Compensation is $21.50–$24.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus sales incentives. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with hours subject to variation, and rotating Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience as an FHB Senior Teller; or two years of experience as an FHB Teller and cross-training to perform supervisor duties; or one year of experience as a Teller or equivalent at another financial institution, along with two years of supervisory and cashiering experience.
Pleasant and tactful manner when interacting with customers.
Good oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to use judgment and discretion regarding customer transactions and confidential information.
Sales skills to enhance business development opportunities.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the financial services industry, such as retail, mortgage/loans/deposits, and wholesale banking.
