Head of Social

Zenity•New York, NY

About The Position

Zenity is seeking its first dedicated social-media leader to build the company’s online presence and establish it as a prominent, widely shared voice in AI security. This is a hands-on creative role—not a conventional social media management position focused on scheduling and impressions. The Head of Social will run social channels day to day, develop a B2B employee advocacy program, and create ideas that make Zenity stand out at major security conferences. The role reports to the CMO. The role will work closely with Zenity’s researchers to turn emerging AI-agent security research into timely, engaging content. Success includes building a repeatable content engine, growing reach and engagement, mobilizing employees to post, creating moments that reach beyond the security community, and establishing a recognizable presence at conferences. The position offers creative freedom, direct access to the CEO, and the opportunity to build within a modern marketing organization that uses AI tools and agents in its workflow.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years building an audience for a B2B technology, security, or developer brand, or for oneself, with demonstrable results and an ability to explain what succeeded and what did not.
  • A portfolio demonstrating creative, effective social content.
  • Strong writing and visual thinking skills, with the ability to edit video quickly.
  • Experience making technical topics understandable and shareable.
  • Experience reacting to breaking news quickly and recognizing timely memes and trends.
  • Experience getting employees or oneself to participate effectively on social media, and explaining the approach and results.
  • Daily use of AI tools and agents in one’s workflow, with the ability to evaluate their strengths and limitations.
  • Willingness to test many ideas, learn from unsuccessful experiments, and focus on outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively with researchers, executives, and the field team, and to learn technical topics quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and move quickly while maintaining a high standard of work.

Nice To Haves

  • Built a personal following through a channel, newsletter, community, or account.
  • Created a memorable brand character, recurring series, or campaign.
