Head of Social

Zenity•New York, NY

About The Position

AI agents are getting hijacked, tricked, and turned against the companies that deploy them. Zenity stops that, and our research proves it by breaking agents that the biggest companies in the world use. Our online presence doesn't yet sound like our research. That's why this role exists. This isn't a Social Media Manager role where you schedule posts and report on impressions. You'll be the first person whose whole job is to get Zenity's name out there and make us one of the loudest, sharpest, and most-shared voices in AI security. You'll run our social channels day to day, build a B2B employee advocacy program, and come up with the creative ideas that put Zenity on the map at the biggest conferences in security. This role reports to the CMO. About Zenity Zenity is the leader in AI Agent Security and the first company to bring an agent-centric security platform to market. As enterprises accelerate AI agent adoption, we are establishing the security framework for how AI agents are secured and governed at enterprise scale. We deliver full-lifecycle visibility, governance, detection, prevention, and response for AI agents from build time to runtime, across SaaS, home-grown platforms, and end-user devices. Backed by $180M+ in total funding, including a $125M Series C led by Norwest, with participation from SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Microsoft's M12, Zenity is trusted by Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises worldwide. Gartner named Zenity a Market Shaper in its inaugural Emerging Market Quadrant for AI Application Security, Startup Vendors, one of only two vendors placed in the Market Shapers quadrant among nearly 20 startup vendors assessed. This follows Gartner naming Zenity the Company to Beat in AI Agent Governance earlier this year. Join us in shaping how AI agents are secured at enterprise scale.

Requirements

  • Spent 4+ years building an audience for a B2B tech, security, or developer brand, or for yourself, and you can show us the numbers: what took off, what flopped, and why.
  • Portfolio makes us smile and makes us think "wait, that's smart."
  • Write sharply, think visually, and edit video fast. CapCut, Figma, Canva, or whatever you use; we care about output, not tools.
  • Turned a technical topic into something people actually share, and you can show us. Think "indirect prompt injection via MCP tool poisoning," made human.
  • Tell a meme that lands from one that's three weeks stale.
  • Explain how you got people to post and what happened when they did.
  • Use AI tools and agents in your workflow every day and can tell us which ones are overrated and why.
  • Take ownership of outcomes, not just activity, and you don't need a detailed brief on what to create.
  • Move fast and hold a high bar for your own work.
  • Comfortable building where the playbook is still being written.
  • Work easily with researchers, executives, and the field team, and pick up technical topics quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Built a following of your own: a channel, newsletter, community, or account.
  • Created a brand character, recurring series, or campaign people still remember.
  • Turned a conference or live event into social content that traveled beyond the venue.
  • Worked in cybersecurity, or at an early-stage startup where the role wasn't scoped for you.

Responsibilities

  • Run our social channels day to day
  • Build a B2B employee advocacy program
  • Come up with the creative ideas that put Zenity on the map at the biggest conferences in security
  • Get Zenity's name out there and make us one of the loudest, sharpest, and most-shared voices in AI security
  • React to breaking news within hours
  • Get employees, or yourself, to show up on social in a way that worked
  • Ship 10 ideas to find the 1 that takes off

Benefits

  • First access to the research. Our researchers find new ways to attack AI agents before anyone else does. You'll be in the room, and you'll help decide how the world hears about it.
  • Real creative freedom, no committee. You get a direct line to the CEO and a team that ships what you come up with.
  • Permission to be bold. Security marketing is a sea of navy-blue padlocks and "trusted platform" copy. We'd rather be funny, sharp, and a little provocative, and still be right.
  • A new way of working. We're building a modern marketing org where one great operator with the right agents does the work of a much larger team. If you've wanted to work this way and your current company won't let you, this is the place.
