About The Position

The Head of Operations - Factory Direct, leads the warehouse, logistics, supply chain, and day-to-day operational functions for Bosch's wholesale/distribution business that supplies HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies to contractors and dealers. This is a senior leadership role focused on efficiency, scalability, safety, customer service levels, and profitability in a distribution environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, preferably in HVAC wholesale/distribution, building products, or similar supply chain environments
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), logistics, inventory control, and HVAC products/systems is highly valued
  • Proven track record in process optimization, team leadership, P&L responsibility, and driving operational excellence
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple locations or a large team
  • Experience with safety programs, regulatory compliance, and scaling distribution operations

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all warehouse, logistics, distribution centers, and operational activities across the region or company.
  • Ensure branch/distribution centers operate safely, efficiently, and consistently with high levels of customer service (on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory availability).
  • Drive standardization of processes, SOPs, and best practices across locations to achieve “one look, one feel” operations while maximizing efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory management, supply chain execution, purchasing, and logistics to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and meet sales demand for HVAC products.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable teams including Regional Operations Managers, warehouse staff, and support functions (e.g., fleet, safety).
  • Identify and implement process improvements, operational rigor, and technology to scale the business, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
  • Manage budgets, control operational costs, monitor key performance metrics (KPIs like fill rates, order accuracy, labor efficiency, safety incidents), and contribute to profitability goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, permitting, licensing, and industry requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and executive leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, talent development, and high performance.
