About The Position

We’re seeking a Head of Internal Operations to join our Minneapolis Target-focused team, working alongside our talented group of professionals dedicated to exceptional service and growth for both our clients and retail partners. In this role, you will lead and scale the internal infrastructure of our business. This role is responsible for building the systems, processes, and operational discipline that enable sustainable growth, strong execution, and cross-functional alignment. This leader will oversee all non-client-facing functions and serve as the operational backbone of the organization, partnering closely with the President to ensure seamless execution from internal planning through external delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in CPG and retail broker/agency environments, with a strong understanding of Target and other retailer dynamics.

Requirements

15+ years of experience in CPG, retail, or retail broker/agency environments, with a strong operational focus
Proven experience working with Target (or similar major retailers) and understanding of their processes, systems, and expectations
Demonstrated skill in building long-term strategic business and short-term implementation plans, balancing strategic and tactical needs
Deep familiarity with vendor management, supply chain coordination, and retail operations
Highly analytical with experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting
Demonstrated success in building and scaling internal operations in a growing organization
Strong leadership experience with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to lead through influence and work collaboratively
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail, strong financial acumen, including experience working with P&Ls and financial analysis
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the company’s internal operating model, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and clarity across teams
Translate company strategy into actionable operational plans, KPIs, and execution rhythms
Establish and enforce best-in-class team structures, processes, and workflows
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all internal functions
Partner with the President to ensure internal capabilities align with client and revenue goals
Serve as the central connector across operations, finance, and support functions
Build systems that improve communication, accountability, and execution across departments
Leverage deep retail experience to guide internal planning, forecasting, and operational readiness
Oversee operational workflows that support retail and vendor execution
Ensure internal teams are aligned with retailer requirements, timelines, and compliance standards
Optimize resource allocation, capacity planning, and internal workflows
Design and implement scalable systems, tools, and reporting frameworks
Manage operational planning cycles, including forecasting, budgeting support, and performance tracking
Identify talent gaps and develop organizational structure to support growth
Establish a culture of accountability, clarity, and operational excellence
