About The Position

Somethings is building the first social wellness platform for teens and young adults. Our platform aims to connect teens with mentors who understand them and help them improve. With 25 million teens in the U.S. struggling with mental health, Somethings provides a space for them to stay, connect with supportive individuals, and receive the help they need to thrive. The company is backed by General Catalyst and other prominent investors, experiencing significant growth. The Head of Marketing will be responsible for defining how Somethings presents itself to health insurance plans, state partners, and in the broader cultural discourse on teen mental health. This senior role involves setting the brand's narrative and personality across various marketing channels, including content, conferences, performance marketing, and commercial marketing. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional B2B marketer capable of building a compelling brand while simultaneously running a measurable demand generation engine. A key aspect of the role is making Somethings relevant to health plans through strategic channel selection and earned attention, as well as establishing it as the most culturally relevant brand in youth mental health and a trusted resource for teens nationwide.

  • Track record of both brand-building and demand generation.
  • Proven ability to grow brands or channels from unknown to recognized.
  • Experience generating top-of-funnel pipeline for sales teams.
  • Proficiency in writing posts, launching campaigns, and creating assets (Canva, Figma).
  • Genuine performance marketing skills, including channel testing, paid optimization, and attribution.
  • Ability to prove the impact of work with data.
  • Deep care for voice, positioning, and brand perception.
  • Ability to quickly become fluent in hard B2B/B2G buyers like health plans, managed care organizations, or state agencies (healthcare background not required).
  • Thrive in ambiguity, ownership of problems end-to-end, and ability to make impact without a large team or budget.
  • Judgment and standards to build and lead a team.
