Head of Growth - GTM / Revenue Ops

Intervene K-12•Houston, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Intervene K-12 is seeking a Head of Growth to build and lead its enterprise Growth organization and create a repeatable, measurable, capital-efficient growth engine. The role is accountable for identifying attractive markets, creating demand, developing channels and partnerships, scaling commercial execution, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue. It spans multiple products, customer segments, and geographic markets, including direct K-12 district sales, English Learner solutions, B2C/state-funded tutoring, strategic partnerships, and emerging domestic and international opportunities. The Head of Growth will lead enterprise growth strategy and consolidated commercial performance across direct sales and product-line revenue teams, Marketing and Product Marketing, Market Development, Strategic Partnerships and Channels, Revenue Operations and Sales Enablement, and proposal/RFP commercial strategy. The role will establish commercial talent, operating cadence, pipeline discipline, and forecasting, while determining where the company should invest, test, scale, partner, pause, or exit. This Houston-based executive role works directly with the Founder & CEO and collaborates with Client Success, Delivery & Operations, Product/Technology, Finance, and other executive functions. It requires meaningful domestic travel and periodic international travel. The role is hands-on in a founder-led, growth-stage company and is accountable for revenue execution and commercial outcomes; it is not a traditional VP of Sales, COO/Integrator, or strategy-only position. In the first year, success includes establishing and operating an enterprise growth strategy; setting product-market priorities and differentiated GTM plans; improving sales accountability, pipeline discipline, and forecasting; operating Marketing and RevOps against measurable outcomes; creating a market-validation process; generating commercial activity through partnerships and channels; reducing Founder dependency for routine commercial execution; and positioning the Growth organization to scale with the company’s future executive operating structure.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated revenue accountability.
  • Experience commercializing multiple products, buyer types, or channels.
  • Evidence of building teams, leaders, systems, partnerships, or revenue infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and financial judgment.
  • Ability to balance growth opportunity with margin, speed, delivery capacity, and capital requirements.
  • Comfort operating hands-on in a founder-led, growth-stage company.
  • Executive presence, curiosity, and energy to explore unfamiliar markets.
  • Ability to build organizational capability rather than becoming the permanent closer.
  • Houston, Texas location required; candidates outside Houston must be willing to relocate or travel.
  • Willingness to undertake meaningful domestic travel and periodic international travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in growth-stage or founder-led companies.
  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS, EdTech, GovTech/public sector, workforce technology, healthcare technology, or technology-enabled services.
  • Experience in complex B2B or public-sector buying environments.
  • Experience with long sales cycles, strategic accounts, partnerships, and/or RFP-driven business.
  • Experience helping a smaller company build the commercial infrastructure required for significant scale.

Responsibilities

  • Establish enterprise growth strategy and manage consolidated commercial performance.
  • Lead direct sales and product-line revenue teams, including AEs and revenue leaders, and build the future commercial leadership bench.

  • Build differentiated go-to-market strategies across products, markets, buyers, and channels.
  • Create disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, account ownership, and commercial reporting.

  • Develop partnerships and channels that create market access and revenue leverage.
  • Lead Market Development and validate new markets and opportunities.
  • Oversee Revenue Operations, Sales Enablement, and proposal/RFP commercial strategy.
  • Evaluate domestic and international opportunities with the Founder & CEO and turn promising opportunities into structured validation plans and repeatable commercial motions.
  • Build commercial talent, operating cadence, pipeline discipline, and forecasting.
  • Partner with Client Success, Delivery & Operations, Product/Technology, Finance, and other executive functions without taking over their operating responsibilities.
  • Balance growth opportunities with margin, speed, delivery capacity, and capital requirements.
  • Reduce Founder dependency for routine commercial execution and position the Growth organization to scale.
