About The Position

Aurora is seeking a Head of Growth to lead the expansion of its member community. This role involves defining and executing a D2C growth strategy across product, social, digital, content, partnerships, and community channels to attract, convert, and grow the accounts of high-profile customers. The Head of Growth will work directly with the CEO to build a team and leverage technology and human expertise to establish Aurora as a leader in its market. The position is based in Manhattan, New York, with flexible remote days and travel opportunities.

Requirements

  • Exceptional ability to identify a company's core growth drivers and think across physical, digital, media, partnership, community, and product-led channels.
  • Ability to manage both digital and human-led growth mechanics as part of a defined funnel.
  • Build high-leverage functions that prize conviction & trust over reach.
  • Exceptional taste, aesthetics, and copywriting ability — a deep understanding of the customer, culture, and mentality of our market — and an exceptional pulse on cultural moments and what makes things stand out.
  • Ability to turn taste into a repeatable engine: converting brand instinct into an actionable, repeatable strategy that builds trust, magnetism, and intrigue.
  • Strong understanding of — and instinct for — modern distribution channels: how products and ideas travel across social, cultural, and niche channels to reach high-value audiences.
  • Build narrative and objectives into every touchpoint, and build autonomous systems that discover, test, and act on new growth strategies.
  • Execute ruthlessly, plan and research diligently, and curate tastefully.
  • Exceptionally organized — managing complex budgets, timelines, briefs, and strategies in unison, hitting deadlines and objectives on time.
  • Track, assess, and act on both qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, operations, and partnerships to maximize Aurora's access, member experience, and opportunities.
  • Ability to withstand scrutiny and hold conviction, with the confidence to make asks and drive an agenda working directly alongside the CEO.
  • Hungry, learn fast, and believe in seeking truth above all else.
  • Proven track record of growing products, services, or initiatives among niche communities with exceptional results.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the CEO and own engagement and conversion strategy across all touchpoints.
  • Define and own a multi-channel growth strategy that magnetizes and retains the world's most valuable customers within Aurora's ecosystem.
  • Lead Aurora's external content strategy and execution across social, editorial, in-person, and specialist distribution channels.
  • Own the strategy and oversee the execution of Aurora events, experiences, and brand activations, ensuring they reinforce our narrative and cultural position while driving conversions, engagement, and renewals.
  • Own conversions and renewals, ensuring Aurora curates the highest-signal community of athletes, creatives, and founders globally — starting with the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
  • Build and manage a team of specialist executors, own the growth budget, and define KPIs across the function.
