Mel Robbins Media Group•Boston, MA

About The Position

Mel Robbins Media Group is hiring a Head of Growth Marketing to grow the audience and performance of The Mel Robbins Podcast and the company’s other content, products, and channels. The role owns growth across podcast downloads, email and CRM, the website, SEO, paid media, and analytics. The position does not create content; it ensures the content produced by the podcast, social, brand marketing, and video teams reaches more people and drives results. The Head of Growth Marketing will audit existing channels, platforms, tools, and agency relationships; recommend what to keep, improve, replace, or stop; and deliver a prioritized, budgeted 12-month growth roadmap with targets. The role will plan and execute growth for each new podcast episode, increase back-catalog listening, and grow, reengage, and retain a two-million-subscriber email list. It will also improve website user experience and conversion, develop SEO and AEO strategies, manage paid media strategy and budgets, and establish clear cross-channel measurement and reporting. This is a hands-on leadership position managing a team of 3–4 marketers and 3–4 agency partners. The Head will set strategy, build systems, execute marketing work personally, coach the team, and hold agency partners accountable for results. The role works with the podcast team on episode growth planning and leads paid media for major launches within the broader campaign strategy led by the Head of Brand & Partnerships. Success includes an approved growth roadmap, increasing new-episode and back-catalog downloads, a larger and more engaged email list, paid campaigns that meet targets with declining acquisition costs, and a team able to operate the ongoing growth process effectively. The company describes its culture as collaborative, creative, low-ego, mission-driven, and hybrid.

  • 6–8 or more years of experience in growth or digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated success growing a podcast, newsletter, or media audience, supported by measurable results.
  • Personally managed and executed paid search, paid social, email, SEO, and web marketing; the role requires hands-on execution, not only oversight.
  • Understanding of podcast audience growth, including listener discovery, subscriptions, platform discovery, charts, cross-promotion, and back-catalog listening.
  • Experience building CRM and lifecycle programs that improve engagement, retention, and revenue.
  • Experience owning revenue or conversion targets and understanding the drivers of commercial results.
  • Experience briefing, evaluating, challenging, and holding agencies accountable for their work.
  • Experience managing a small team, developing talent, and supporting strong performance.

  • Willingness to perform hands-on work and understand the work being delegated.
  • Comfort using data to guide decisions and improve performance.
  • Willingness to be present with the team, especially during production weeks.
