About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated Head of Federal Sales to join our team at Voltron Data. As a key member of our Sales organization, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for crafting our Federal strategy, managing our Federal relationships, and securing partnerships, grants, and customer relationships with government clients. This role requires a deep understanding of federal contracting, a track record in federal sales, and expertise in data analytics and data infrastructure. A security clearance is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute a federal strategy to build and expand Voltron Data's presence within the federal sector through recurring contracts.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) opportunities, including prospecting, presenting, forecasting, closing, onboarding, and managing.
  • Partner internally to secure federal grants, contracts, and other relevant government opportunities.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of federal contracting to determine the best acquisition pathways for Voltron Data.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas consistently.
  • Possess deep familiarity with and relationships in the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Demonstrate expertise in data analytics and data infrastructure, with an understanding of the government's needs and critical use cases in this space.
  • Obtain security clearance for the role.

Requirements

  • A background in federal sales, with sales experience in a closing role.
  • A deep understanding of federal contracting and an ability to determine which acquisition pathways are the best fit for Voltron Data.
  • A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Deep familiarity with and relationships in one or both of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Expertise in data analytics and data infrastructure, and an understanding of the government's needs and critical use cases in this space.
  • Security clearance is required for this role.
  • Location: Ideally based in Washington, D.C.
