Head of Engineering (India Site Lead)

LivePerson is seeking a site leader to establish and lead their software development center in India. The initial focus of the center will be to provide engineering resources for the Conversational Intelligence and Conversational AI organizations. As the team grows, the center is expected to take ownership of certain products. The site leader will be responsible for daily operations, team building, communication with stakeholders, and promoting LivePerson's employer brand in India. They should have technical aptitude, experience in building high-performance services, and strong leadership and people management skills.

• Direct daily operations of the offshore development center, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Build and grow a productive, motivated, and engaged team that consistently meets project deliverables.
• Foster seamless communication between local teams in India and remote stakeholders.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders organization-wide.
• Serve as the primary contact for all India-related issues, facilitating efficient resolution and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
• Promote and establish LivePerson's employer brand in India to attract top tech talent.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Indian team.
• Nurture a culture that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and open dialogue.
• Have over 10 years of experience in data, analytics, and AI domain, specializing in data engineering and/or analytics applications.
• Have at least 5 years of management experience with software development teams of 7 or more members.
• Exhibit exceptional leadership and people management skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in working within a global organization, collaborating with teams across various time zones and cultures.
• Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in data, analytics, and AI domain, specializing in data engineering and/or analytics applications
• At least 5 years of management experience with software development teams of 7 or more members, exhibiting exceptional leadership and people management skills
• Proven ability to build, nurture, and lead high-performing, motivated teams from the ground up, with a focus on cultivating a culture that fosters technical excellence
• Demonstrated proficiency in working within a global organization, showcasing adeptness in collaborating with teams across various time zones and cultures
• Degree holder, Bachelor's or Master's, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience
