Head of Engineering (Site Lead)

LivePerson is seeking a site leader to establish and manage its software development center in India. The center will initially support the Conversational Intelligence and Conversational AI organizations, with the potential to take ownership of certain products as it grows. The site leader will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, building and managing a productive team, fostering communication with remote stakeholders, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, promoting LivePerson's employer brand in India, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to the team.

Direct daily operations of the offshore development center, encompassing hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.

Build and grow a productive, motivated, and engaged team that consistently meets project deliverables.

Foster seamless communication between local teams in India and remote stakeholders, including engineering managers across the US, Germany, and Israel.

Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders organization-wide, ensuring that the offshore center's objectives align with the company's overarching goals.

Serve as the primary contact for all India-related issues, facilitating efficient resolution and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.

Promote and establish LivePerson's employer brand in India to attract top tech talent, actively supporting recruitment endeavors.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Indian team, nurturing a culture that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and open dialogue.

• Over 10 years of experience in data, analytics, and AI domain, specializing in data engineering and/or analytics applications
• At least 5 years of management experience with software development teams of 7 or more members, exhibiting exceptional leadership and people management skills
• Proven ability to build, nurture, and lead high-performing, motivated teams from the ground up, with a focus on cultivating a culture that fosters technical excellence
• Demonstrated proficiency in working within a global organization, showcasing adeptness in collaborating with teams across various time zones and cultures
• Degree holder, Bachelor's or Master's, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience
