About the position
Our goal is to deliver the next-generation of Conversational AI (CAI), including the latest in Generative AI/Foundation Model technology. We are looking for a CAI Engineer II to pursue and implement exceptional conversational experiences at scale. The role involves delivering state-of-the-art Conversational AI products, bridging the gap between generative AI capabilities and applications, extending foundation model capabilities, implementing production-level ML-focused code, and developing authorship tooling for building and maintaining dialogue management products. The ideal candidate should have a quantitative or computational background, industry/academic experience with AI systems, proficiency in Python, and experience with Natural Language Understanding and/or Conversational AI techniques.
Responsibilities
- Deliver state-of-the-art Conversational AI products at a global scale to tens of millions of consumers.
- Bridge the gap between (in house and external) generative AI capabilities and applications that use them to automate conversations at scale.
- Extend the latest foundation model capabilities to take action and solve real customer problems.
- Implement and deliver production-level ML-focused code.
- Identify and rapidly prototype supporting technologies to showcase conversational elegance.
- Develop authorship tooling for building and maintaining dialogue management products at scale.
- Design conversational experiences for end-users (preferred qualification).
- Conduct usability studies and focus groups (preferred qualification).
- Deploy Machine Learning models into production (preferred qualification).
Requirements
- B.S. in a quantitative or computational field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of industry/academic experience with AI systems
- Experience delivering production software
- Proficient in Python
- Experience with Natural Language Understanding and/or Conversational AI techniques
- Experience with communicating insights and presenting concepts to diverse audiences
- Team player mindset and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Experience designing conversational experiences for an end-user (preferred)
- Experience conducting usability studies and focus groups (preferred)
- Experience deploying Machine Learning models into production (preferred)
