About The Position

The ACE Hardware Sales Associate processes and stocks products, builds and fills displays, and receives customer payments for goods or services in a quick and friendly manner while providing genuine customer care. The role supports store sales by helping customers with project needs, resolving concerns, processing orders and register transactions, and maintaining the store.

Requirements

Some hardware knowledge.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Present information and respond to questions from customers or associates.
Understand basic math concepts, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, communicate with associates and customers, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally sit, lift overhead, crawl, smell, and lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Have close and distance vision, adjust focus, and distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge customers, meet their project needs, and resolve concerns quickly to drive store sales.
Process and stock deliveries and back stock.
Build and fill displays.
Scan products and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
Process and be accountable for other services handled at the register.
Answer incoming phone calls using proper phone etiquette.
Perform fixed activities as assigned.
Assist with store maintenance and cleaning.
Follow store and department policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
