About The Position
Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Lead, the textile hanger hangs textile goods, sorts donations, and maintains the processing area in a clean and orderly fashion. The role includes sorting, boxing, and labeling hangers; hanging garments to meet prescribed production levels; presenting merchandise on appropriate racks; rotating stock and bringing it to the sales floor; and keeping the production area clean and safe. The position also assists with textile color rotation, provides general information to customers, watches for suspicious activity, refers complaints to management, responds calmly to emergencies, and performs other assigned duties. The work involves prolonged standing and walking, lifting and moving items, and working in a usually moderate-noise environment.
Requirements

- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification, such as gowns, shirts, and pants.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
- Sufficient mobility to turn side to side, lean, and remove items from containers.
Responsibilities
- Sort, box, and label hangers by type.
- Hang garments in a timely manner to maintain the prescribed production level.
- Place and present merchandise on appropriate racks according to merchandising policies and procedures.
- Rotate stock according to established procedures and bring stock to the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Keep the production area clean and safe.
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow the dress code, including wearing a name badge.
- Assist with textile color rotation according to established procedures.
- Direct customers to the proper area and provide general information as requested.
- Watch for shoplifting or suspicious activity and notify store management.
- Refer customer complaints to management in a timely manner.
- React calmly and respond to emergency situations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader.
