About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is hiring a Hanger/Textiles associate. This role is suited to a goal-oriented, detail-focused person who can work independently, stay organized and dependable, and meet production goals. Clothing Hangers/Inspectors sort clothing for quality and defects, hang and tag clothing efficiently, and maintain a safe, neat, and efficient work area. The position may include cross-training in cash register operation and receiving, pricing, and stocking donations. The role pays $15.00 per hour. Associates should be available to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends. Stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and remain organized and dependable.
- Ability to meet production goals.
- Attention to detail and ability to consistently identify clothing defects.
- Ability to focus and work efficiently while hanging and tagging clothing.
- Availability to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Production or similar experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sort clothing and identify defects to ensure merchandise meets Goodwill quality standards.
- Hang and tag clothing while working efficiently and avoiding distractions.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and efficient work environment.
- May cross-train in cash register operation and in receiving, pricing, and stocking donations.
