About The Position

Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Lead, the Textile Hanger hangs textile goods, sorts donations, and keeps the processing area clean and orderly. The role involves preparing and presenting merchandise, maintaining stock rotation, and bringing stock to the sales floor. It also includes assisting customers, watching for suspicious activity, referring complaints to management, and responding calmly to emergencies. The position is full-time, located in Rockwall, Texas, with a day shift and an hourly salary of $14.75. No travel is required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification, such as gowns, shirts, and pants.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
• Sufficient mobility to turn side to side, lean, and remove items from containers.

Responsibilities

• Sort, box, and label hangers by type.
• Hang garments in a timely manner to maintain the prescribed production level.
• Place and present merchandise on appropriate racks according to merchandising policies and procedures.
• Rotate stock according to established procedures and bring stock to the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Keep the production area clean and safe.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow the dress code, including wearing a name badge.
• Assist with textile color rotation according to established procedures.
• Direct customers to the proper area and provide general information as requested.
• Stay alert for shoplifting and notify store management of suspicious activity.
• Refer customer complaints to management in a timely manner.
• React calmly and respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader.
