About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is seeking a goal-oriented, detail-focused team member who can work independently, stay organized and dependable, and meet production goals. Clothing Hangers/Inspectors sort clothing and check carefully for defects, since merchandise that does not meet Goodwill’s quality standards is not stocked. They hang and tag clothing while maintaining focus and working efficiently, and keep their work area safe and neat. The position may include cross-training in cash register operation and receiving, pricing, and stocking donations. Receivers may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds. Associates should be available to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends. Stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and open at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Pay is $15; the description does not specify the pay period.

Requirements

Able to work independently and remain organized and dependable.
Able to meet production goals and work efficiently while avoiding distractions.
Attention to detail and ability to identify clothing defects.
Availability for most store hours, especially evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Production or similar experience preferred.
