About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is hiring for a role focused on sorting, inspecting, hanging, and tagging clothing. The successful candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and able to meet production goals while working efficiently and avoiding distractions. The role also involves maintaining a safe, neat, and efficient work area. Cross-training may be provided in cash register operation and receiving, pricing, and stocking donations. The position pays $15.00. Associates should be available to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends. Stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and open at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Requirements
- Be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Be able to meet production goals and work efficiently while avoiding distractions.
- Be available to work most store hours, especially evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Production or similar experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sort clothing and consistently identify defects to ensure merchandise meets quality standards.
- Hang and tag clothing efficiently and quickly while maintaining focus.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and efficient work environment.
- May cross-train in cash register operation and in receiving, pricing, and stocking donations.
- If working in receiving, may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds.
