The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, and maintain inventory. The role includes day-to-day restocking and organization, seasonal holiday support, and participating in department resets, installations, and fixture relocations. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work activities and communication, and may sometimes work with products from other companies in the stores they service. This is a part-time position averaging 8–11 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and during seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. Work may include evenings, weekends, and, on some occasions, the holiday itself. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 pounds and occasionally handle items up to 50 pounds. Kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs or step ladders are also required. Applicants must be at least 18, able to read, write, and understand English, operate a digital handheld device, have internet and Wi-Fi access, and have consistent transportation to assigned stores.
