As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, using organization and time-management skills to maintain product displays and build relationships with store teams. You are responsible for Hallmark products at assigned stores and may occasionally work with other companies’ products. The work involves restocking, organizing, and monitoring inventory, communicating with a supervisor and completing merchandising-related reporting using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, and interacting professionally with store employees, management, and customers. The role also supports seasonal demand and department resets. Before and after major holidays, additional workdays or extended hours may be needed; some holiday work may fall on the holiday itself, including weekends. Reset assignments can involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may include evening or weekend work. Merchandisers may also support colleagues in other territories. This is physically demanding work on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. The position requires frequent handling of items up to 30 pounds and occasional handling of items up to 50 pounds, along with kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs or step ladders. The schedule varies during the work week and averages 12–15 hours per week. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
