The Merchandiser works independently in the Hallmark departments of assigned retail stores, such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role showcases organization and time-management skills, builds relationships with retailers, and represents Hallmark. Merchandisers collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support colleagues with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, the position may involve working with other companies’ products in serviced stores. This is a part-time role with a variable weekday schedule, averaging 11–15 hours per week. Pay starts at $13.50–$15.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Employees with schedules under 30 hours can access voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. The position requires working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Holiday periods may involve additional workdays and extended hours, and availability the week before and after major holidays is required. Some holiday work may occur on the holiday itself, including weekends. Seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support may also be required. Department reset assignments may include evenings or weekends; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance.
