As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will represent Hallmark, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role averages 4–8 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Pay starts at $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Availability before and after major holidays, including possible weekend work, is required, as is availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Day-to-day work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products, managing the full Hallmark display at assigned stores, and using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. Seasonal work may involve additional days and extended hours, and work on certain holidays may be required. Department reset assignments can include building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; these assignments may take place in the evenings or on weekends. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The job is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must frequently handle cartons, merchandise, and fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders.
