The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores, representing Hallmark and maintaining the company’s product displays. The role involves building relationships with store teams, optimizing product placement, monitoring inventory, and supporting seasonal resets, installations, and other field merchandising work. Assignments may also occasionally involve products from other companies sold in the stores served. The position is part-time, with a variable workweek schedule averaging 10–14 hours per week. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and for communication, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and other required activities. Seasonal demand may require extra days or longer hours around major holidays, and work on some actual holidays may be required. Reset and installation assignments may involve evenings or weekends, and support for other merchandisers may be needed. The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. Merchandisers must regularly handle cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders.
