About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will work with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and represent Hallmark. The position also supports seasonal resets and installations, and may occasionally involve working with other companies’ products in stores you service. Work takes place on selling floors and in back stockrooms, with a variable work-week schedule averaging 5–10 hours per week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and for season changeovers, installations, and inventory support. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The starting pay rate is $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience; eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain responsibility for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys about required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide seasonal holiday support, which may involve additional workdays and extended hours, including working on certain holidays and weekends.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
