About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores, serving as the face of Hallmark while maintaining product displays and inventory and building relationships with store teams. The role covers grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores and may occasionally involve products from other companies.

Work includes day-to-day merchandising, seasonal holiday support, department resets and installations, and supporting other merchandisers in their territories. The part-time role has a variable weekday schedule averaging 7–10 hours per week, with additional days or extended hours around major holidays and seasonal work. Availability before and after major holidays, sometimes including weekends or the holiday itself, is required.

The job involves physically demanding work on sales floors and in stockrooms, including regularly handling merchandise and fixtures and moving throughout the workday. Hallmark provides a mobile device and paid, hands-on and virtual training.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal holiday demand with additional days and extended hours as needed.
• Participate in department installations and resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
