About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to present Hallmark products, maintain displays and inventory, and build relationships with store teams. The role involves merchandising in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores, with occasional support for products from other companies. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication, reporting time, submitting feedback, and completing surveys. Work includes regular department service, seasonal holiday support, and occasional fixture installations and department resets. The position is part-time, with a variable weekday schedule averaging 6–12 hours per week. Additional hours and days may be needed around holidays and during season changeovers, installations, extended service, and inventory support. Holiday and reset work may include weekends or evenings. The job is physically demanding and requires frequent movement and handling of merchandise and fixtures.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability for a variable workweek schedule averaging 6–12 hours per week.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Ability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement with local store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily merchandising tasks, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around seasonal holidays, potentially working additional days or extended hours and, on certain occasions, the holiday itself.
• Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
• Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections as part of department reset teams.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
