As a Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. You will showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark while collaborating with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory. You may also support other team members with seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role has three primary components: day-to-day merchandising, holiday support, and department resets. Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory and displays, report time, communicate with your supervisor, provide feedback, and complete surveys for required merchandising activities. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores and are expected to interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. Hallmark’s seasonal business requires additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays. Work on holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day may be required. Department reset assignments may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may include evening or weekend work. Merchandisers may also support colleagues in other territories as needed. This part-time position has a variable work-week schedule averaging 2–19 hours per week. Availability the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, is required, along with availability for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. The starting wage is $16.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. This is a physically demanding job performed on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasional handling of items up to 50 pounds. The work also involves kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and possibly climbing stairs and step ladders.
