About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in assigned retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You work with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and represent Hallmark, while sometimes supporting other team members with seasonal resets and installations. The role may also involve working with other companies’ products in the stores you service.

The work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device to complete daily work and communicate with your supervisor. Seasonal demand may bring additional workdays and extended hours around major holidays. The position also involves department resets and installations, which can include building or installing fixtures, relocating products or card departments, and resetting card sections. Work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available for a variable work-week schedule averaging 13–15 hours per week.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory and displays in assigned retail stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising activities, reporting time, communicating with a supervisor, providing feedback, and completing surveys.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Provide holiday support, which may involve additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays, and work on some holidays when required.
• Support installations and department resets, including building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
• Travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
