About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organizational and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support colleagues with seasonal resets and installations. Occasional work with other companies’ products in serviced stores may be available.

The position provides service in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. Work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products, managing the full product display at assigned stores, communicating with a supervisor, reporting time, submitting feedback, and completing surveys using a Hallmark-provided mobile device. Professional interactions with store employees, management, and customers are important.

Seasonal demand brings additional workdays and extended hours around major holidays. Some holiday assignments may require working on the holiday itself, including weekends. Department resets may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may include evening or weekend work. Merchandisers may also support other team members in their territories.

This is a variable-schedule part-time role averaging 13–16 hours per week. Starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.

The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasional handling of up to 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and help optimize product placement and inventory levels.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and required merchandising surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional service around holidays, including extended hours and additional workdays as needed.
• Participate in department installations and resets, including building fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
