About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, and represent Hallmark. The role involves managing product placement and inventory, supporting seasonal resets and installations, and sometimes working with other companies’ products in the stores serviced. Merchandisers work in retail selling floors and back stockrooms, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily tasks and communication. The position averages 1–3 hours per week with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be required around holidays, for seasonal changeovers, installations, and inventory support. The role is physically demanding and requires frequent handling of merchandise and fixtures.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work activities, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, and required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support store teams and fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets, installations, and inventory support as needed.
• Build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections.
• Work additional days or extended hours around seasonal holidays, and potentially work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
