About The Position

The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory and product displays, and build relationships with store teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communications. Merchandisers may also support other products in stores and assist colleagues in their territories as needed.

This is a part-time position averaging 6–8 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Hours may increase around holidays, seasonal changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required. Some work on holidays, evenings, and weekends may be required for holiday coverage and department resets. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. It requires frequent movement and handling of merchandise and fixtures, including lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communications with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal demand before and after major holidays, including additional workdays and extended hours when needed.
• Assist with installations and department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
